Javier Burillo

Javier Burillo comes from a family rooted in determination and vision. His grandfather, Emilio Azcárraga, emigrated from the Basque region of Spain with 13 siblings and very little money. Despite humble beginnings, Emilio built the media empires Televisa in Mexico and Univision in the United States, all while maintaining a humble and generous spirit. Javier often describes his grandfather as his hero, remembering his lifelong dedication to helping people. Javier’s education laid the foundation for a career that would span hospitality, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy. He attended Instituto Irlandés in Mexico and Tabor Naval Academy in Marion, Massachusetts, before earning degrees from Menlo College. He later completed a master’s in Hotel Business at The Conrad Hilton University in Houston, where he graduated with the Best International Student Diploma.
